Discovery Cruise Line is now offering a snorkel trip for passengers taking a one-day cruise to Grand Bahama. The warm waters of the Bahamas make snorkeling appealing year around. The unique reefs of the Bahamas break ocean waves and provide calm waters and a habitat where fish thrive. The waters of the Bahamas are some of the clearest in the World. Visibility on a clear day is up to 200 ft. Shallow waters- like those found at Rainbow Reef (off Grand Bahama) are 2 - 14 feet deep- allowing visitors to get a close look at the coral reef and an abundance of small colorful fish. It is an adventure for beginners, immediate & advance snorkelers alike. The Fantasia Sea Safari Snorkel, also available to passengers on 2 and 3 night cruises, leaves from the Port Lucaya dock at 1:30pm and returns at 3:30pm. While traveling to the reef you will receive instructions by one of the experienced guides. The staff onboard is very friendly and ready to please you. The Fantasia is specially designed to allow all ages to get into the water easily. Floatation gear is provided so that exertion is minimum. You simply lie on the water and enjoy the view.
